PORTIA
Before I met the Essences, my creative work was full of struggle and my confidence was inconsistent.
I didn’t know how to promote myself and didn’t really understand why.
Working with the Flowers, I’ve able to evolve out of the sticky patches and weird habits that were tripping me up.
Training as a practitioner and starting this company was a natural progression for me.
There are a tonne of skills that crossover from directing to coaching.
Everything starts with listening and usually finishes with trying to say enough, and not more.
OPINION:
I think people are a series of contradictions.
People are not one way, they do not have a single tendency.
Most of us are managing the tension of their inner contradictions.
Sometimes this creates potent energy, sometimes it’s a massive struggle.
In my experience we get into flow when we have a healthy handle on our contradictions and can turn them into good tension.
SOME OF MY CONTRADICTIONS:
✱ Good at Maths and also highly intuitive.
I can (probably) solve a quadratic equation and also have a pretty well defined ability to suddenly know things, without knowing how I know them.
✱ An extrovert who really likes her own company.
If you can’t find me, I’m at the cinema on my own.
✱ Cancer Sun/Aries Moon.
I want to cook you dinner and ask you about your childhood. I also want to start fires and drive fast cars.
✱ I had a middle class upbringing that wasn’t sheltered. All my life I met all different kinds of people.
✱ Can’t do small talk - but I’m happy with either Dad jokes or you telling me your current crisis.
